Last updated: June 2025. This privacy policy describes how SaveTokens, operated by The Web Hunters, handles your data when you use the file to Markdown conversion service.
Files you upload: When you use SaveTokens to convert a file, that file is transmitted to the SaveTokens conversion API hosted on HuggingFace Spaces. The file is processed in memory to produce Markdown output and is not stored on any disk after processing completes. File contents are not logged.
Usage analytics: We may collect anonymous, aggregated usage statistics such as the number of conversions performed per day, the file formats used most frequently, and page view counts. This data contains no personally identifiable information.
Browser storage: The SaveTokens application uses your browser's localStorage to store your conversion history locally. This history never leaves your device and is not sent to any server. You can clear this history at any time using the Clear History button in the application.
We use anonymised usage statistics to understand how SaveTokens is used and to prioritise feature development. We do not use any collected data for advertising targeting, user profiling, or sale to third parties.
Your uploaded files are not stored after conversion. We do not read file contents for any purpose other than converting them to Markdown. We do not train machine learning models on your uploaded files. We do not share file contents with any third party.
Despite these protections, we recommend not uploading files containing sensitive personal information, protected health information, legally privileged documents, or confidential business information. The internet transmission of any file carries inherent security risks outside our control.
SaveTokens does not use cookies for tracking or analytics purposes. If third-party advertising (such as Google AdSense) is active on the site, those services may set their own cookies subject to their own privacy policies.
SaveTokens uses the following third-party services that may process data according to their own privacy policies: HuggingFace Spaces (conversion API hosting), Cloudflare (CDN and security), and Google Fonts (typography, loaded via Google's servers).
SaveTokens is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of SaveTokens after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
